Over the years RNA (Rhythmical Noise Authority) has changed somewhat, originally RNA consisted of Ben McIntosh and Jamie Hollings, two Oxforshire lads trying to make a break in the dance music scene.

Ben loved late 80's acid house music and attended many of its notorious parties of the time. Ben started Dj'ing in 1990 for the likes of Fantazia under the name DJ Vinyl. He then moved onto the early Free Party Scene having played sets for the likes of Spiral Tribe, Circus Warp and Bedlam.  Over time, Ben moved on to set up the 'Odyssey' free party rig often pairing up with other rigs such as 'BDI' 'POD' and 'Pineapple Tribe'. He was very much involved in the orchestration of the infamous Oxfordshire 'Ridgeway Free Parties' in the early 90's.

Ben's love of dance music gave him the perfect platform to go on to produce dance music.

Jamie was a lover of all things Techno & Electro. He was another aspiring Dj who was heavily involved in the local club and party scene from the late 80's on wards. He ran a regular party night in Henley-on-Thames and it was only a matter of time before Ben and Jamie each acquired their first home studios and the world of production opened up!

The two DJ's spent some time in the studio together and did live Performances in the local pub 'The Green Tree' which proved very popular.  Following this success they produced an album simply called 'Rhythmical Noise Authority' featuring many tunes now lost to the interwebs due to MP3.COM going down the tubes.

After this, with their new manager 'Nick Warburton' in place , RNA were signed by Maidenhead label 'Skydive Recordings'.  They released their first EP on vinyl in 2002 which consisted of four tunes: ProtoIntox, Treacle Bass, Stabb 33 and Right On (Featuring Ana Ray).  The Release party in London was legendary amongst their friends and followers and consequently the EP did well in the Breaks charts hitting number 7 on their first release. The pair gained some notoriety within the New Skool Breaks scene. They played at many party nights in London and DJ'd on radio stations like "Breaks FM" and "Ministry of Sound".

After some time producing together,  Jamie and Ben decided to part ways and RNA continued producing as Ben McIntosh .  Ben released his first solo 12" vinyl, 'Eyes Open Wide' Featuring the very talented Female vocalist 'Emma Harper' and a 'Johan SoH' Remix, on the flip side the very well played out 'Nu TT' finished off the first release for Ben in 2003.

Having worked closely with the founder and CEO of Skydive Recordings 'Mark Walters' A music producer in his own right releasing tunes as 'Big Square Sound' on RNA's first EP and the Eye's Open Wide 12", Ben's musical relationship with Mark moved forward and they hooked up in the studio, this was a pairing they both had no clue to start with would lead to an amalgamation of talents that born out 'RNA vs BSS'

The pair of them produced many tunes together that had never been released or seen the light of day until they released a bootleg under the pseudonym 'Pussy-De-Lix' of Brittany Spear's 'Toxic' on Medcab Records, this tune (Cook My Toxic Sock) had critical acclaim throughout the dance scene and was played on Radio 1 by the likes of Annie Nightingale and Pete Tong.

Inspired by their success of the bootleg, Mark and Ben went on to produce and release many tunes together including the popular remix of Bill Vega and New Decade's 'Running Scared' which again had good chart success within the Breaks scene, they had many producers remix their material such as 'Hi 8' 'Future Funk Squad' 'Kraymon' 'Johan SoH' 'Bill Vega and new Decade' and many others.

Ben and Mark are responsible for releasing tunes like 'The Laughing Breaksman' 'Human Voices' '2 Close' and 'Sound Bites'
